The Area

There are attractive views over the valley and two walks from the barn so you may walk to Trapp or all the way into Llandeilo if you are feeling adventurous. When the bluebells are in flower the woods have a carpet of blue to admire. One mile from Trapp, on the western fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Carreg Cennen is one of the few remaining privately owned castles in Wales. It was once voted Wales’ most romantic ruin and is open year round with tea rooms and a craft shop. The colourful and picturesque market town of Llandeilo is just a short drive and is scattered with a varied array of independent shops and a wide selection of places to eat, from a quick snack to à la carte meals. It has gained a reputation for being a paradise for foodies and shoppers alike.
